Megyn Kelly attended the Pete Hegseth hearings on Monday, where she expressed confidence in his confirmation as Defense Secretary. During the hearing, Kelly criticized Democrat women senators for their conduct, referring to them as "hysterical fools" and expressing embarrassment for her gender.
In a transcript provided by Real Clear Politics, Kelly remarked, "No one laid a glove on him. He’s good. He’s got this. I have zero doubts now that he will be confirmed." She mentioned Senator Joni Ernst's questioning as respectful and suggested that Hegseth would likely pass through the Senate Armed Services Committee without issue.
Kelly also commented on the behavior of some Democrat senators: "Why do the women always have to be so sh*tty? Why do the women have to be like these hysterical fools? Why can’t they be more dignified?" She specifically criticized Tim Kaine, Mazie Hirono, and Kirsten Gillibrand for their actions during the hearing.
A clip shared by Insurrection Barbie on Twitter highlighted Kelly's views on the proceedings. The tweet stated: ". @megynkelly is wondering why liberal women senators had to be hysterical fools."
