Frank Luntz, a known GOP pollster, made notable comments about Senator Cory Booker's recent filibuster, suggesting it "may have changed the course of political history." During his appearance on NewsNation’s "On Balance," Luntz praised Booker's lengthy speech, which broke the Senate's record for the longest floor speech, stating it resonated deeply with Americans amidst the Trump administration's debates.
"I want to emphasize what Cory Booker did over the last 24 hours may have changed the course of political history. I watched a lot of it. I listened to words. I listened to phrases," Luntz stated. Luntz believes Booker's speech struck an essential tone for grassroots Democrats by encouraging them to stand firm for their beliefs. "He gave them a reason to fight. He gave them a reason to stand up and say, this is my country too," he mentioned to anchor Leland Vittert.
Luntz acknowledged the partisan divide, predicting Republicans would perceive Booker’s actions as insubstantial. However, he emphasized, "He’s speaking to Americans, and what I saw over the last 25 hours absolutely blew me away."
