According to Politico, "Gavin Newsom will soon host his own podcast where the California governor will mix it up with MAGA personalities, open his vast Rolodex for frank conversations with Democrats about how to come back from the wilderness and break news on consequential policy decisions." This move comes as Democrats seek to deliver a compelling message amidst actions from former President Donald Trump and Republicans.
The podcast, titled “This is Gavin Newsom,” will be produced by iHeartPodcasts. It draws inspiration from Bill Maher and aims to delve deeply into political discussions. Newsom expressed in a promotional video: "I'm launching a NEW PODCAST. We need to change the conversation. I'm talking directly with people I disagree with, people I look up to, and you — the listeners."
