After MSNBC's decision to terminate Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow expressed her discontent on air, suggesting the move was racially motivated. Megyn Kelly responded by criticizing Maddow during her podcast.

Kelly stated, "She is one of the most annoying people on television," and accused Maddow of disrespecting her network superiors by saying she "took her boss’s faces and rubbed them in s–t." Kelly further noted that if an employee behaved similarly towards her, she would not hesitate to dismiss them. She said, "If one of my employees ever did this to me… I would fire them so fast."

The criticism extended to Maddow's implication that the firing decisions at MSNBC had racial undertones, pointing out that both Reid and Wagner are non-white hosts.

Megyn Kelly's remarks were highlighted in a report by The New York Post: "Megyn Kelly rips into Rachel Maddow over on-air MSNBC critique: She ‘rubbed’ bosses faces ‘in s–t’."

A video clip from The Megyn Kelly Show shared on social media echoed these sentiments: "She oozes sanctimony and self-righteousness. She took her bosses' faces and rubbed them in shit last night…"

The situation unfolds amid challenging times for liberal media networks grappling with low ratings.
