On April 7 and 8, 2025, Representative Hank Johnson, a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, shared his views concerning the actions of the Trump Administration and the current aviation industry's issues through three separate tweets. Johnson, who has been representing Georgia’s 4th District in Congress since 2007, discussed these topics as part of discussions on accountability and safety in the face of administration policies.

On April 7, Rep. Hank Johnson announced his participation in a bicameral spotlight hearing focusing on the Trump Administration's policies. In a tweet on the subject, he stated, "Today, as a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, I'm participating in a bicameral spotlight hearing entitled, 'Restoring Accountability: Exposing Trump’s Attacks on the Rule of Law,' to examine the Trump Administration’s pro-crime and pro-corruption agenda."

The following day, on April 8, he expressed concerns about the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act, noting its potential to address aviation industry strain. However, Johnson criticized the administrations of Musk and Trump for their financial cuts. He tweeted, "The bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act provides solutions to relieve strain within the aviation industry. However, co-Presidents Musk & Trump are making cuts to pay for their tax breaks—crippling its progress & reducing safety. Americans are concerned about air travel while Musk."

Later on April 8, Johnson emphasized the need for the administration to focus on worker safety and the implementation of the FAA Reauthorization Act provisions. He mentioned in a tweet, "While Trump & Musk are focused on indiscriminate cuts & firing FAA employees instead of worker safety, we in Congress passed provisions in the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act to ensure our workers and air travel are safe. The administration needs to focus on implementing it."
