The DeKalb County governing authority has announced its intention to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption, referred to as HB 581.
Residents are encouraged to participate in public hearings regarding this decision. The meetings will take place at three locations: Dunwoody Library on February 20, Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center on February 24, and at 178 Sams Street in Decatur on February 25.
