The DeKalb County Board of Education has declared its intention to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for the DeKalb County School District (DCSD). The decision invites public participation through a series of hearings scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 6, at 6 p.m., and Monday, February 10 at 11:30 a.m. These hearings will take place at the Robert R. Freeman Administrative Complex located at 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard in Stone Mountain.
