DeKalb County has announced adjustments to its sanitation schedule in observance of Presidents Day on Monday, February 17. Residential sanitation services will be delayed by one day throughout the week.

On Presidents Day, there will be no sanitation service. Collection will resume on Tuesday, February 18, for residents whose usual collection day is Monday. Those typically serviced on Tuesday will have their waste collected on Wednesday, February 19. The pattern continues with Wednesday's customers receiving service on Thursday, and Thursday's customers being served on Friday.

The North Transfer Station will operate from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on February 17 and return to normal hours the following day. Meanwhile, the Customer Care call center, administration building, Central Transfer Station, and Seminole Road Landfill will close for the holiday but reopen with regular hours on Tuesday.

Residents seeking more information can contact the Sanitation Division’s Customer Care team at 404-294-2900 or via email at sanitation@dekalbcountyga.gov. Additional updates are available at www.dekalbsanitation.com or through social media by following @DKalbSanitation.
