President Trump addressed reporters upon his return to Washington, DC, from Mar-a-Lago in West Palm Beach, Florida. The President discussed various topics, including tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China.

Trump recently imposed 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada and 10% tariffs on China. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced retaliatory tariffs against the United States. This move has led to a decline in the Canadian dollar to its lowest value since 2003 and a 2% drop in Mexico's peso.

When questioned about potential increases in tariffs against Canada, Trump stated, "It could happen. If they do anything, we will. Canada's been very abusive of the United States for many years." He criticized Canada's trade policies regarding oil and farm products.

The President also mentioned immigration issues related to Canada and Mexico: "Millions of people flowed into our country through Mexico and Canada, and we're not going to allow that."

He plans discussions with Trudeau and Mexican officials soon: "They have to stop people from pouring in... They’ve got to stop it."

Regarding European Union tariffs, Trump affirmed their likelihood: "It will definitely happen with the European Union." He expressed concerns over trade imbalances with both the EU and UK.

In response to questions about USAID leadership changes after an incident involving Elon Musk’s DOGE classified documents request, Trump said: "I think Elon is doing a good job. He's a big cost cutter."

On international matters like the Panama Canal ownership by China, Trump declared intentions for action due to national security concerns: "We're going to take it back."

He also highlighted successful efforts over the weekend concerning Venezuela hostages' release: “We got the six hostages out of Venezuela… they're home with their families.”

Upcoming meetings include talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scheduled for Tuesday.
