MSNBC President Rashida Jones has resigned from her position, confirmed by Fox News Digital. This decision comes amidst ongoing challenges with the network's ratings. Jones, who served as president for four years, announced her departure in a call with MSNBC staff, where talent paid tribute to her leadership.

Rebecca Kutler will take over as interim president. Kutler joined MSNBC in 2022 after working at CNN, where she was an executive producer for Don Lemon.

Jones expressed gratitude for her time at MSNBC and NBCU, stating, “After four incredible years at the helm of MSNBC and 11 years at NBCU, I have made the decision to pursue new opportunities.” She added that the past chapter of her career was rewarding and expressed confidence in MSNBC's future.

In response to ratings struggles, Rachel Maddow is set to return five nights a week during President-elect Donald Trump's first 100 days in office. The network aims to offer unique insights and analysis during this period.
