During a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," Joe Rogan expressed his views on CNN and left-wing commentators discussing the creation of their own podcast network. He remarked that they misunderstand the nature of his podcast community, which is formed out of friendships rather than corporate structure.
Rogan commented on CNN's portrayal of podcasts like his as part of a large, financed network. He stated, “I saw on CNN after the election, they were talking about us in specific, and they were talking about how there is this network of podcasts that are interconnected that has been financed, like, this huge corporate finance network.”
He dismissed this idea by saying it was merely a group of friends participating in each other's shows. “It’s so stupid,” Rogan said. “No, it’s actually just a bunch of friends, f—ing idiots. We just happen to do each other’s podcasts.”
Discussing the potential for left-wing podcasters to create their own network, Rogan was skeptical about their ability to collaborate effectively. “Good luck,” he said humorously. “You guys cancel each other if your f—ing Ukraine flag is too small!”
He further added criticisms about internal conflicts within progressive circles: “You f—ing talk s— about each other for not having trans kids,” he said. “You guys are out of your mind. You’re not going to sync up together. You’re in a suicide cult.”
The discussion followed a segment where CNN analyzed why certain podcasts have gained popularity.
