A Southwest Airlines flight from Houston to Phoenix experienced an unexpected delay on Monday after a female passenger caused a disturbance before takeoff. The woman reportedly began shouting, running down the aisle, and jumping near the cockpit before removing her clothes.
According to NBC, the incident occurred on a flight departing from Hobby Airport in Houston. The disruption led to the plane returning to the gate and resulted in a delay of over an hour, as reported by KPNX.
The Houston Police Department received a call at 3:30 p.m. CT regarding "a passenger [who] took off her clothes on a flight and was causing a disturbance." Following this event, the woman was removed from the aircraft and taken to the NeuroPsychiatric Center at Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital in Houston for medical evaluation. No charges were filed against her.
This incident is reminiscent of another event involving Tiffany Gomas, who created a scene on a flight from Fort Worth to Orlando by yelling that "the plane was going down" and insisting that someone onboard was "not real."
