DeKalb County announces unofficial runoff election results

Unofficial and incomplete results from the recent runoff elections in DeKalb County have been released by the DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE). The elections held on December 3 included contests for DeKalb County Commissioner District 3, Super District 7, Atlanta City Council Post 3 (At-Large), and Doraville City Council District 1 – Post 2. Current results can be found at www.DeKalbVotes.com.

Ballots from uniformed and overseas citizens under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act must arrive by December 6 to be counted before the election's certification. The official certification of results is scheduled for December 9 at noon at the DeKalb VRE Office in Decatur.

In the District 3 runoff, Andrew W. Bell received 1,736 votes (24.02%), while Nicole Massiah garnered 5,491 votes (75.98%). For District 7, Jacqueline Adams obtained 4,065 votes (29.69%) against LaDena Bolton's 9,628 votes (70.31%).

For Atlanta City Council Post 3 At-Large, Eshé Collins secured a win with 1,408 votes (65.67%), compared to Nicole "Nikki" Evans Jones who received 736 votes (34.33%). In Doraville City Council District 1 Post 2, Taylor Ray won with a total of 214 votes (52.84%) over Andy Yeoman's tally of 191 votes (47.16%).
