Former 'Meet the Press' host Chuck Todd expressed strong criticism of the Biden family following President Joe Biden's pardon of his son, Hunter. In a conversation with journalist Chris Cillizza, Todd described the Bidens as "selfish" for their decision to run for the presidency, suggesting it has negatively impacted the Democratic Party.

Todd referenced allegations involving Hunter Biden, specifically mentioning claims that he influenced his sister-in-law's substance abuse issues. "I followed the Hunter Biden trial very closely," Todd said. "You want to get angry just as somebody, and just all these mixed emotions, you read the Hallie Biden transcript, and that's Beau’s widow. And essentially, he turned her into a crack addict."

He continued by questioning the motivations behind Joe and Jill Biden's political ambitions. "And Joe and Jill Biden were so concerned about their family that they decided to run for president," Todd remarked. "So when you talk about the word selfish, it’s almost like the word doesn’t — I mean, their decision to run for president put the entire Democratic Party and the United States of America in the position that it’s in now."

This shift in tone from liberal media figures like Todd marks a notable change in how some commentators address President Biden's actions post-election.
