During a recent podcast episode, Joe Rogan discussed his reasons for becoming involved in the 2024 presidential race. He attributed his involvement partly to Kamala Harris's choice of Tim Walz as her running mate. Rogan expressed concerns about Walz's past statements regarding his military service, football coaching role, and experiences in China.

Rogan stated, "I wanted to stay out of the presidential election shit because it’s so gross." He continued by questioning the integrity of Walz: "You’re telling me that you don’t care if someone is a liar? You don’t care if they lie about their military rank, where they served?"

Mediaite reported on Rogan's comments, highlighting that he felt compelled to participate more actively in the political process due to these concerns. Despite his distaste for politics, which he described as "gross," Rogan found himself drawn into the discussion because of Walz's claims.

Rogan further elaborated on his disbelief: "There are just too many things. This is so crazy. You would get fired if you were an assistant manager at a fucking oil change company. Jiffy Lube would fire you!"

In addition to sharing his views on the vice-presidential candidate selection, Rogan played a notable role in the election with an interview featuring Donald Trump that garnered over 50 million views.
