Lindy Li, a former member of Kamala Harris's finance committee, has voiced concerns about the financial management of Harris's campaign. Despite donating substantial amounts and encouraging others to contribute, Li claims that nearly two billion dollars were misspent without accountability.

In a recent call with Harris, campaign officials, and top donors, Li expected an acknowledgment of the financial missteps. However, she states that no responsibility was taken. According to Li, part of the discussion included Harris sharing Thanksgiving recipes.

Another significant donor expressed dissatisfaction with the campaign's financial oversight, suggesting it renders Harris "disqualified forever."

NewsNation reported on comments from a Democratic National Committee (DNC) finance committee member who described the Harris campaign as "self-congratulatory" during a call with major donors. Lindy Li told NewsNation she was surprised by the absence of any analysis or reflection on what went wrong in the campaign.

"It was just patting each other on the back," said Li. "They praised Harris as a visionary leader, and at one moment during the call, she was talking about her Thanksgiving recipe."

Li criticized party leaders for being "detached from reality," noting that over $1 billion was spent during the 110-day campaign. She highlighted how funds primarily benefited consulting firms rather than voters.

This controversy may affect future donations to Democratic candidates as small donors feel disillusioned by this election cycle's spending practices.
