Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville expressed strong discontent with young progressive staffers involved in Kamala Harris's 2024 campaign. In a video, Carville criticized the influence these staffers had on various campaign decisions, particularly their opposition to Harris appearing on Joe Rogan’s show.
Carville conveyed his imagined response to these staffers, emphasizing his disregard for their opinions. He stated: “Not only am I not interested in your f*cking opinion, I’m not even gonna call you by your name. You’re 23 years old. I don’t really give a sh*t what you think.”
He further argued against the notion that campaigns should reflect progressive values, asserting instead that they are inherently authoritarian. Carville added: “If I were running a 2028 campaign and I had some little snot-nosed 23-year-old saying they’re going to resign if I don’t do this. Not only would I fire that person on the spot, I would find out who hired them and fire that person on the spot.”
