British journalist Piers Morgan has called for the cancellation of the daytime talk show "The View," labeling it as "pointless and irrelevant" following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 election. In a column for the New York Post, Morgan criticized the show's focus on Trump, describing it as a source of "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

Morgan argues that "The View" does not provide accurate information to its audience, with hosts frequently issuing corrections. He wrote, "'The View' is a pointless, irrelevant, Trump-loathing joke — cancel it." He further criticized Joy Behar, one of the hosts, mentioning an incident where she wore blackface at a Halloween party.

Morgan believes that Trump's win was influenced by policies on the economy and immigration. He accuses the hosts of "The View" of fueling cultural resentment with their worldview. According to Morgan, Behar's statement—“I vehemently disagree with the decision that Americans made”—reflects an arrogant assumption shared by many in the Democratic elite.

While Morgan clarifies he is not supportive of cancel culture, he suggests it's time for "The View" to face consequences after its numerous attempts to discredit Trump. He claims that ABC should consider ending what he describes as "the most politically toxic show on television."
