DeKalb Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 13.
On June 9th individuals, corporations and local communities are coming together for 24 hours to help the nearly 500,000 children living in communities lacking the basic opportunities and resources needed to thrive. United Way Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising event aimed at raising funds in five key areas, Child Well-Being, Strong Learners, College and Career Ready, Economic Stability, and 2-1-1 Contact Center
There are many ways that you can get involved.
- Donate to a Child well-being priority like Strong Learners or Economic Stability
- Host a Peer-to-Peer fundraiser on Facebook, Instagram, or Give lively. We have created simple templates to create your own fundraiser following the QR code below.
- Amplify your gift by leveraging your annual fund support for a public challenge match. Your gift will create a sense of urgency driving donations, inspire increased giving, and put a name to the spirit of LIVING UNITED. Studies show that not only are donors more likely to give when a challenge is offered, 1 in 3 donors are likely to make a larger gift.
