Georgia Piedmont Technical College issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.
Georgia Piedmont announced the winners of its GOAL (Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership) Student of the Year and RPA (Rick Perkins Award) Instructor of the Year on January 21 via a pre-recorded video.
Congratulations to HVAC student Natasha Henry and Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor Sherry Lowery!
Both winners will compete regionally this March and will find out in April whether they are finalists for their region. If chosen at that level, they will continue to compete for state honors. Winners for both GOAL and Rick Perkins will be ambassadors for technical education across the state of Georgia, including addressing the General Assembly.
