A plaque expressing gratitude to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been installed by a Satanic group in the Minnesota State Capitol Building. The plaque thanks Walz for "not standing in the way of spreading satanism inside the State Capitol Building."

The display follows a holiday installation placed by the same group in December. This move acknowledges Walz's stance on maintaining religious neutrality within the state's government buildings. Religious displays are accepted in the Capitol as it must remain religiously impartial.

David Strom of Hot Air added perspective on the issue, emphasizing that political figures are not accountable for who supports them. He stated, "good people can have bad people support them for any number of reasons," acknowledging the serious nature of the plaque despite its seemingly humorous intent.

Governor Tim Walz's approval of religious displays is noted as a requirement of state law. His actions, as per the rules, included authorizing the controversial display from the Satanist group.

Walz, who also ran as a vice-presidential candidate with Kamala Harris, is recognized for policies viewed as contentious by some. His current political activity includes a tour aimed at regaining support lost by the Democratic party in the 2024 election.
