Rep. Hank Johnson, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 4th district since 2007, has been vocal on social media regarding recent political and policy issues. On March 25, 2025, he addressed various topics through a series of tweets.

In a tweet posted at 16:26 UTC, Rep. Johnson questioned the logic behind Congress's perceived authority to defund a federal district court that rules against former President Trump while being unable to impose an ethics code on the Supreme Court. "Let me get this straight @speakerjohnson. You think Congress has the authority to defund an entire federal district court that rules against Trump, but you don’t think you can make SCOTUS adhere to an ethics code? Make it make sense".

Later that day at 17:18 UTC, Rep. Johnson criticized Donald Trump and Elon Musk for their alleged impact on Social Security services. He accused them of ending vital telephone services, firing staff, and closing field offices as part of what he described as a "backdoor attempt" to reduce Social Security benefits under the guise of efficiency.
