Steve Bannon and Jack Posobiec discussed the current state of chaos and violence in Syria during a segment on War Room. The conversation included comments from former President Trump regarding recent geopolitical events, specifically pointing to an October 7th attack on Israel and financial gains by Iran under the Biden administration. Trump suggested that developments concerning Iran were imminent, stating, “We have a situation with Iran that something is going to happen very soon, very, very soon.”
The video footage shared during the discussion depicted urban warfare in Syria with machine gunfire in residential areas. Bannon commented on the global conflicts contributing to this unrest: “The reality of the third world war, the kinetic part. This is actually more dangerous than after the invasion of Poland in 1939 by the German army.”
Bannon highlighted various regions experiencing turmoil, including Ukraine, Persia, Syria, and Northern Israel. He emphasized that significant developments involving former President Trump could occur shortly.
Posobiec referred to what he described as "blood chaos" in Syria as a fulfillment of predictions made by DNI Tulsi Gabbard regarding post-Assad sectarian violence. He compared it to previous instances of sectarian conflict seen after regime changes in Iraq and Libya.
Bannon supported Gabbard's understanding of jihadist groups in Syria and noted her stance against labeling them as moderate: “Tulsi Gabbard stood in the breach and preached gospel truth that there are no moderate jihadists.”
Posobiec detailed ongoing violence occurring primarily in northwest Syria near Turkey’s border: “This is happening all in the north-west corner of Syria, which shares a border with Turkey.” He also reported on civilians being targeted by jihadists engaged in sectarian violence: “They are rounding up civilians,” noting this pattern has persisted throughout Middle Eastern history.
The discussion concluded with Posobiec mentioning that Christians were among those being targeted by these violent acts.
