A former Capitol Hill police officer, Tarik Johnson, has made serious allegations regarding security breaches at the U.S. Capitol. According to Johnson, a House staffer managed to enter one of the House office buildings with a gun before President Trump's speech on March 4, 2025. The staffer was reportedly arrested after being caught.

Johnson took to social media to share his concerns about this incident and other security lapses. "Emergency Update!!!!!!!" he posted, describing how the staffer asked why bringing a gun was an issue since no one had previously objected. He noted that this is the fourth such incident since Trump became President and expressed concern that weapons have been present during Trump's visits.

In response to these events, Johnson directed criticism towards USCP Chief J Thomas Manger in another post: "You clearly are going to try to conceal it from the public as much as you can." He demanded transparency from Manger and threatened to release more information if no action was taken by Monday morning.

Johnson's comments have reignited discussions about security measures at the Capitol, particularly following previous incidents on January 6th when police used force against protestors.

The former officer’s allegations suggest ongoing issues within the U.S. Capitol Police force, which he believes requires urgent reform.
