An American Airlines flight and a Blackhawk helicopter collided near Washington D.C. Reagan National Airport, resulting in confirmed fatalities. The collision occurred over the Potomac River, with no survivors reported from the water as of now.

CNN sources have confirmed that 19 bodies have been recovered out of the more than 60 individuals on board the plane. All flights were canceled following this tragic incident.

The crash was captured by a webcam at the Kennedy Center, showing an explosion mid-air across the Potomac River. The American Airlines flight involved was Flight Number 5342, arriving from Wichita, Kansas. It collided with a police helicopter identified as a Blackhawk.

The FBI has stated there is no indication of terrorism related to this incident. Audio recordings from air traffic control reveal communication attempts before and after the collision. One controller noted, “I saw a fireball and then it was just gone.”
