The Chabad representative to the United Arab Emirates, Rabbi Zvi Kogan, has been missing since Wednesday. Rabbi Kogan, an Israeli-Moldovan citizen, is believed to have been kidnapped in Dubai. The situation has drawn the attention of Israeli authorities who are actively involved in the investigation.

Pamela Geller reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran has claimed responsibility for Rabbi Kogan's kidnapping. This claim was echoed by Rabbi Menachem Margolin, Chairman of the European Jewish Association. According to Geller, "So while the Democrat regime in power obsesses over cutting off children’s genitalia, opening our border to millions of hostiles, spending us into bankruptcy and aiding and abetting the global jihad, the world is spinning out of control. It’s not a new world order, it’s no order at all."

This incident marks a significant escalation as Iran has a history of kidnapping dissidents from the UAE but now appears to be targeting Jews and Israelis. A recent case involved Jamshid Sharmahd, a German citizen executed by Iran after being kidnapped from the UAE.

Israeli officials confirmed Rabbi Kogan's kidnapping in Dubai through various media outlets. Barak Ravid tweeted about Israeli officials' involvement on November 23, 2024.

Hen Mazzig also tweeted about early reports indicating local authorities are investigating possible kidnapping or murder concerning Rabbi Kogan's disappearance.

Shelley G highlighted Iran's pattern of targeting individuals in the UAE with her tweet referencing past incidents.
