Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Press Secretary, responded to questions from Fox News reporter Peter Doocy regarding a lunch between President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. This interaction occurred during a press briefing following their first public appearance together since the election at Arlington National Cemetery.

Peter Doocy questioned Jean-Pierre about the nature of the private lunch between Biden and Harris, asking, "How awkward was that?" Jean-Pierre countered by questioning why it would be considered awkward. The exchange continued with Doocy suggesting tension due to past events involving Harris and Biden.

Jean-Pierre emphasized that Biden and Harris have regular lunches and communicate frequently. She stated, "They have regular lunches. Uh — they meet and talk regularly." She also noted their recent joint appearance honoring veterans as evidence of their collaboration.

The press secretary reiterated that both leaders are focused on completing tasks for the American people in the remaining days of this administration. She dismissed any implications of awkwardness, saying, "I'm not even gonna take the premise of this — the question."

The video of this exchange was shared on social media platforms by various outlets.
