Volunteers needed for Storm Drain Marker event on Aug. 6

The City of Brookhaven’s Stormwater Division is seeking participants for its annual Storm Drain Marker Volunteer Event on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8 to 11 a.m.

This year the project will focus on the Lynwood Park neighborhood.  Volunteers will park and meet at the Lynwood Park Recreation Center, 3360 Osborne Road.

This community service project:

  • is appropriate for all ages and group sizes
  • is flexible enough to fit into busy schedules
  • requires minimal time
  • is easy to do
Volunteers will glue plastic discs to storm drains reminding residents that “No Dumping” helps all of us and protects the environment. The City will provide all materials needed for this event.

Volunteers may RSVP by emailing Stormwater@BrookhavenGA.gov. RSVPs are appreciated but not required; walkups are welcome.
