Marist School issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.
The Sigma Nu Epsilon Xi Chapter at the University of Mississippi recently announced that Devon Corbett ’23 is the fraternity’s 2022 Charity Bowl recipient.
In 2020, Devon suffered a traumatic brain injury. Since then, Devon has been undergoing extensive recovery and rehabilitation to regain his mobility and independence. Currently, Devon is in intensive rehab at the Centre for Neuro Skills in Dallas, Texas. Donations to the Charity Bowl will help offset the medical expenses for Devon and his family.
Hosted in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Charity Bowl features a full-contact football game between active members of Sigma Nu and another fraternity. Each year, Sigma Nu selects an individual living with paralysis as the primary recipient of Charity Bowl. In recent years, Charity Bowl has also benefited the Manning Foundation and the William Magee Center for Wellness Education. Charity Bowl is primarily supported through financial donations and program advertisement sales. Since its inception, Charity Bowl has raised over $2.5 million for its recipients.
