Agnes Scott College issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.
Agnes Scott College and the Office of Communications and Marketing are celebrating the reception of several awards for the college’s new webspace. Agnes Scott earned honors of distinction from the Davey Awards, the w3 Awards and The Education Digital Marketing Awards, all announced in late 2021.
Agnes Scott won a gold award from the w3 Awards and silver from the Davey Awards, among the most prestigious honors for web design in the industry. Agnes Scott added the three honors to its 2021 Communicator Award, which it earned in September.
The college unveiled a fresh look to its web presence during the fall of 2020 after a staff web team finalized the new direction in conjunction with mStoner, the firm hired to guide the process. The redesign, spurred on by President Leocadia I. Zak’s arrival in 2018, aimed at capturing an accurate snapshot of the Agnes Scott College experience through bright visuals and compelling digital storytelling. The website’s design allows for more relevant content and news to be shared, meeting many needs across stakeholder groups ranging from prospective students to alumnae.
With the ongoing assistance of content managers and contributors across campus, the Agnes Scott website has continued to evolve throughout 2021, including an updated leadership page, interactive news site and, most recently, an all-new calendar of events.
