CITY OF STONECREST: FREE Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off in August

Hhw2

City of Stonecrest issued the following announcement on July 15

If your stockpile of household cleaning or improvement products has gotten out of hand, don’t trash them! Many household products such as aerosols, pesticides, automotive products, paint, etc. may harm sanitation workers, kids and families, and the environment if thrown out with regular household garbage.

The City of Stonecrest plans to hold a FREE event for residents to give them an easy way to safely dispose of chemicals and toxic trash. The mission of the event to help reduce the amount of harmful household chemicals people accumulate, maximize reuse and recycling where possible through cost-effective waste management, and educate the community about the hazards and proper disposal of these items.

When: Saturday, August 7, 2021

Where: Old Sam’s Club | 2994 Turner Hill Road

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

While the event is free to residents of Stonecrest, registration is required to ensure appropriate staffing and resources. Click here to register.

Please note, proof of residency is required (mail, photo ID, etc.) and the free event is open to zip codes 30058, 30038, 30034, and 30094. There is a limit of 50 lbs. per car.
