Chicago resident Danielle Carter-Walters, representing the group ‘Chicago Flips Red,’ addressed the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement to express her views on sanctuary city policies. In her testimony, Carter-Walters criticized Democrats for prioritizing illegal aliens over citizens in her city and commended former President Donald Trump as "the People’s President."

Carter-Walters provided specific examples, mentioning Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's governance, which she argued disadvantages American citizens, taxpayers, and small business owners. She said, "Sanctuary cities are anything but safe," asserting that Chicago is "drowning in the consequences" of these policies.

During the hearing titled “Sanctuary Jurisdictions: Magnet for Migrants, Cover for Criminals,” she stated, “We proudly stand with our president to bring his message to the Black American community and dispose the lies pushed by the Democrat Party and the fake news media."

Carter-Walters criticized former President Joe Biden, along with former Chicago mayors Lori Lightfoot and Brandon Johnson, linking them to what she described as the deterioration of the city. “Lifelong residents are pushed aside. Schools are overcrowded. Crime is out of control, and affordable housing is vanishing. This crisis exploded under Biden and was worsened by the reckless agenda-driven leadership of Lori Lightfoot and Brandon Johnson. They didn’t just ignore the collapse. They fueled it.”

A video of her statement was shared by the House Judiciary GOP, emphasizing her critique of sanctuary city policies and their impact on safety in the community.
