Have you ever wondered what happened to Howard Stern? Once known for his anti-establishment views, the former radio personality has shifted towards progressive politics. Some speculate this change was influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated lockdowns. However, Steven Grillo, a former intern of Stern's, suggests a different reason.

Grillo, who interned for Stern in the early 1990s, claims that Stern's political transformation is tied to his desire to align with his elite friends on the far left. "He definitely got George Pataki elected Governor [of New York in 1995] and he was a big [Rudy] Giuliani supporter," Grillo remarked. He further commented on Stern's current stance: "It’s gross to see what he’s turned into. I think it’s quite pathetic, to be honest."

Grillo attributes this shift in part to the company Stern now keeps. "At some point, his brain flipped," he said. "I think it has to do with the people he associates with... Now he’s friends with all these A-listers, people like Jimmy Kimmel." Grillo believes that if Stern opposes these individuals, he risks losing his place among them.

The former intern is back in the spotlight due to a new book release that chronicles his life experiences, including those at the Stern show. According to Grillo, during his time there, Stern treated him poorly and often humiliated him—a sentiment not echoed in any acknowledgments within his book.
