The Aurora Police Department is currently investigating a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck that occurred on North Airport Boulevard. The incident took place on Sunday, October 1, at approximately 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of East Sixth Avenue. According to the department's spokesperson, Joe Moylan, the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation indicates that both vehicles were traveling southbound on North Airport Boulevard when the collision happened. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The police department has not released any further details about the cause of the crash or any potential charges.

"The Aurora Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has dash camera footage to please contact us," said Joe Moylan in an official statement. The authorities are urging anyone with information to reach out to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).

As investigations continue, North Airport Boulevard was temporarily closed for several hours overnight while officers processed the scene. It has since been reopened for traffic.
