DeKalb County Government has announced a series of Water Rate Town Hall Meetings, providing residents an opportunity to engage with county leadership regarding a proposed water rate increase. The meetings will be hosted and moderated by Lorraine Cochran-Johnson, the DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer.

CEO Cochran-Johnson will lead the discussions alongside an expert Water Discussion Panel. The panel aims to address community questions and clarify future water services in DeKalb County. The panel includes Maria Houser, Esq., Director of CIP and Environmental Compliance; Zach Williams, Chief Operating Officer; Robert Ryall, VP & Director of Financial Services at Arcadis North America; Diane McNabb, Chief Financial Officer; and Jacob Vallo, Chief Development Officer.

The town hall meetings are scheduled as follows:

- February 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Dunwoody City Hall.

- February 4, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Reid H. Cofer Library in Tucker (note that parking is limited).

- February 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center in Decatur.

For those unable to attend in person, the meetings will be available via live stream on DeKalb County DCTV's YouTube channel.

Residents are encouraged to submit questions beforehand via email to mpimpton@dekalbcountyga.gov. This initiative underscores CEO Cochran-Johnson’s dedication to transparency and community involvement.

“I invite all DeKalb County residents to join me for these important discussions about our water system and its future. Your voice matters, and together we can ensure the best outcomes for our community,” stated CEO Cochran-Johnson.
