A one-month-old baby was found abandoned in a median on Pecos Street in Adams County, Colorado, on Christmas Day. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 9:20 a.m. reporting the discovery of the infant, who was only wearing a diaper and seated in a car seat.

Officers responded promptly, ensuring the baby's safety by transporting him to Children’s Hospital Colorado as a precautionary measure. The Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the incident and seeking witnesses who might have observed how the baby ended up in such circumstances.

In an update provided via social media, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office stated, “Our investigators have been in contact with the infant’s family members and are continuing the investigation. We will pursue criminal charges if deemed appropriate.”

The child is described as appearing mixed race or Hispanic. Detectives are canvassing the area for potential surveillance footage from nearby businesses or dashcam videos from vehicles that were present at the time of abandonment.

The sheriff's office has expressed gratitude to those who assisted in spreading awareness about this case and continues to seek any information that could aid their investigation.
