The families of the US service members killed in a suicide bombing at Kabul Airport have spoken out, accusing President Joe Biden of delaying their meeting by three hours due to taking a nap on his plane. This event occurred during the dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, where the bodies of the fallen were returned.

President Biden had previously met with these grieving families, including the pregnant widow of Marine Rylee McCollum. The meeting reportedly did not go well, according to a report from The Washington Post. McCollum was one of 13 service members killed in the attack that also claimed over 170 Afghan lives.

The Daily Mail reported that Roice McCollum, Rylee's sister, claimed that "(Biden) made us wait an extra three hours to receive the bodies of our dead family members because he couldn’t pull it together." She further alleged that a military officer informed her about Biden's nap.

Other family members echoed this sentiment. Christy Shamblin and Darin Hoover recounted similar experiences of waiting on the tarmac for what they described as an extended period. Hoover remarked, "We sat in that office for what seemed like an eternity waiting on the doddering old fool."

The incident has added another layer of tension between President Biden and the families affected by the Kabul bombing.
