City Schools of Decatur School District Education: 3,413 white students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 3,413 white students enrolled in City Schools of Decatur School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.1% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that City Schools of Decatur School District welcomed 5,505 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 62% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Among the nine schools in City Schools of Decatur School District, Decatur High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 1,065 students.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
