Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted for the Bipartisan Budget Agreement, a bill to raise our nation’s debt ceiling while agreeing to budget framework for our next two years. He released the following statement:
"I congratulate President Biden for a shrewdly negotiated debt ceiling bill that protects our economy from a catastrophic default, protects against MAGA hostage taking for two years, and protects Americans from cruel MAGA social safety net cuts. I was a proud "yes" on today’s debt ceiling vote."
