Lovett School issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.
Nick Carrano and Prescott Bayman were named to the 2AA Boys Preseason All-State team by Georgia High School Soccer announced Tuesday night.
Carrano, a junior midfielder, put up 11 goals and led the team in assists with 14. Carrano helped maestro an offense that averaged 4.5 goals per game last season, which was good for number one in the region.
Bayman, a junior defender, was a main cog in the Lions defense which only allowed .52 goals per game last season and put up 13 clean sheets. Bayman also produced on offense dishing out five assists and putting away two goals.
Lovett finished the year 16-4-1 and were GHSA State Runner-Ups. Head Coach Tyler Sherman offered up some incite on the outlook of Carrano and Bayman.
"Nick has been a great talent and a dedicated individual to out program," Sherman said. "We hope to see more of the output from last season as he will continue to play a big role on our team. Prescott has the qualities that have led him to have such a big impact for our program on and off the field. We look forward to his continued influence as we begin the 2022 season."
The Lions will look to open up their season at home on Tuesday, February 1st at 5:30 PM against Mt. Vernon.
