President Donald Trump was seen walking with Elon Musk's young son, X Æ A-12, also known as Little X, across the South Lawn of the White House toward Marine One on Friday evening. They were heading to Mar-a-Lago for the weekend. Elon Musk followed at a distance, allowing Trump to interact with the four-year-old.
Trump appeared in high spirits after his speech at the Department of Justice. He emerged from the Oval Office with Little X and walked toward Marine One while Musk trailed behind. The President acknowledged the press and playfully drew an "X" in the air, pointing at the boy.
Little X, dressed similarly to Trump in a long dark overcoat, jogged alongside him across the lawn. Fascinated by Marine One, he took Trump's hand as they approached it. Trump picked up Little X and set him on the stairs before stepping up himself.
The scene was captured by several reporters and photographers. Jim Watson from AFP provided photos of Trump walking with Little X at the White House toward Marine One. Videos were posted by Howard Mortman from C-SPAN and Daniel Baldwin from OANN showing Trump helping Little X onto Marine One with Musk following behind.
Additional footage came from Margo Martin of the White House and Kellie Meyer of News Nation. Both showed moments of Trump boarding Marine One with Little X, including a minor misstep by Trump on the steps.
Later events included boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews where Little X waved to the press alongside his father Elon Musk and President Trump. Upon arrival in Palm Beach, Florida, they rode in "The Beast" together.
