A major crash occurred during the final laps of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, involving NASCAR driver Ryan Preece. The incident took place on Lap 196 and saw Preece's car flipping over. Both Preece and fellow driver Christopher Bell were involved in the accident but were medically evaluated and subsequently released from the infield care center.

The event was attended by former President Donald Trump, who flew to Daytona with his granddaughter Carolina. Trump addressed the drivers over the radio as his limousine paced the field at the start of the race.

The Daytona 500, known as "The Great American Race," featured forty-one drivers this year competing in what is considered one of the most prestigious stock car races globally.

NASCAR provided multiple video clips of both Trump's presence at the event and footage of the crash involving Preece. Despite the dramatic nature of the crash, both drivers emerged without serious injury.
