An 18-year-old high school student from Indiana, Trinity J. Shockley, was arrested on February 11 after an FBI tip linked her to a planned attack on Mooresville High School. Shockley, who identifies as transgender and also goes by "Jamie," allegedly idolized Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz and had been planning the attack for over a year.

The FBI alerted the Morgan County Sheriff's Department about the potential threat. A tipster reported that a senior named "Jamie" had been planning a shooting for over a year, had access to an AR-15, and had recently bought a bulletproof vest. The suspect reportedly admired notorious mass shooters, including Cruz.

The FBI launched an emergency preservation request on social media accounts linked to Shockley, discovering disturbing conversations on Snapchat and Discord. Messages revealed explicit plans for a "Parkland part two" attack and intentions to kill a close friend before targeting the school.

A court document details messages between "Jamie" and "TCC Mama" on Discord:

01/12/2025 18:29 Jamie: Yeah. I’ll be honest. I’m close to shooting mine up. I have an AR-15.

TCC Mama: Dman OMD that’s so cool!! But wait, do you have a solid plan??

Jamie: Parkland part two. Of course. I’ve been planning this for a YEAR.

TCC Mama: You don’t plan on killing yourself right??

Jamie: No.

TCC Mama: Okay good Your secret is safe with me bro...

On February 7th, Jamie conversed with someone called “Sasha” about buying Magpul AR15 magazines and said she was also buying a bulletproof vest.

February 7th 2025 16:25 Jamie mentioned taking her boy best friend with her in the shooting but clarified she planned to shoot him too.

On February 12, officers executed a search warrant at Shockley's residence, seizing multiple electronic devices and writings glorifying mass killers along with a bulletproof vest. Investigators found walls covered with images of mass shooters like Cruz and journals where Shockley fantasized about violence.

Shockley reportedly struggled with bipolar disorder and unresolved trauma from bullying but did not receive professional mental health services due to her father's refusal.

Excerpts from her notebooks reveal admiration for Elliot Rodger alongside violent thoughts:

12/16/2024 My name is Dex...I am grateful for my chance to live but in reality...I hope whoever reads this takes acknowledgment...

During police interviews, Shockley initially denied any violent intentions but later admitted she considered an attack to prove devotion to Cruz while acknowledging detailed plans were made.

Shockley remains held at Morgan County Jail without bail facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and intimidation with threats of terrorism.
