Republican lawmakers are calling on President Trump to make public the Jeffrey Epstein Files. This comes shortly after President Trump's decision to declassify documents related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Representative Tim Burchett from Tennessee and Senator Marsha Blackburn, also from Tennessee, are spearheading this initiative. Senator Blackburn has expressed her desire for the Trump administration to release fully redacted versions of Jeffrey Epstein's flight logs.
In a statement given to The Daily Mail, Senator Blackburn emphasized the impact of Epstein's actions: "Jeffrey Epstein built a disgusting global sex trafficking network that caused irreparable damage to countless women." She added that "Americans deserve to know exactly who was affiliated with this network. This is not about celebrities – this is about what happened to victims and survivors."
Senator Blackburn has been advocating for years for the unsealing of Epstein-related documents, including his flight logs and Ghislaine Maxwell’s contact book. Representative Burchett has joined her in these efforts.
President Trump had previously indicated his intention to release the Epstein files if elected as President during an interview with Fox & Friends last year.
