DeKalb County adjusts sanitation schedule for Veterans Day

In observance of Veterans Day on November 11, DeKalb County has announced a revised schedule for residential sanitation collection. There will be no garbage, recyclable materials, or yard trimmings collection service on Monday, November 11.

The collection schedule will be adjusted as follows: Customers with regular Monday collections will have their services on Tuesday, November 12. Those with Tuesday collections will be serviced on Wednesday, November 13. Collections normally scheduled for Wednesday will occur on Thursday, November 14. Finally, Thursday's usual collections will take place on Friday, November 15.

Additionally, the North Transfer Station will operate from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Veterans Day and resume normal hours the following day. The Customer Care call center, administration building, Central Transfer Station, and Seminole Road Landfill will be closed on Monday and reopen during regular hours on Tuesday.
