Last night, the Dunwoody City Council unanimously approved grants for 10 local nonprofits to support those who are still struggling with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants total $810,000 in federal funding allocated to Dunwoody as part of the American Rescue Plan.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $58.6 million over the next five years to the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA) to continue its efforts to advance the quality of clinical and translational research and transform research results to impact health in the state of Georgia and beyond. In addition to NIH funding, the Georgia CTSA will receive $15.1 million in institutional support from its academic institutions.

This year, the Upper School gave students, parents, and advisees a chance to meet to talk about the student’s goals. The GBI is investigating an officer involved shooting in Smyrna, GA. The Cobb County Police Department asked the GBI to conduct an independent investigation on September 30, 2022. One man was shot during the incident. No officers were injured.
