Rep. Hank Johnson, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 4th district since 2007, shared several updates on his recent activities via social media. Johnson, who has been serving in Congress after replacing Cynthia McKinney, is actively involved in discussions and initiatives both within his state and at the national level.

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Hank Johnson expressed his appreciation for meeting with Commissioner McMurry from the Georgia Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. He stated: "It was great meeting with Commissioner McMurry from the Georgia Department of Transportation in D.C. yesterday. Thanks for stopping by!"

The following day, February 7, 2025, Johnson engaged with students at The Washington Center to discuss critical issues such as misinformation and fact-checking. He remarked: "It was my honor to join the students at The Washington Center to talk about the threat of misinformation, the importance of fact checking, and some of the work that we are trying to focus on this Congress. Thank you for having me!"

Later that same day, Rep. Johnson reflected on historical lessons from the Freedom Riders and emphasized their enduring impact on justice and equality efforts. He stated: "The Freedom Riders taught us that the fight for justice and equality requires courage, resilience, and unwavering determination. Their sacrifices changed the course of history, and it is our duty to preserve their legacy." He also expressed pride in representing Hank Thomas.
