Rep. Hank Johnson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 4th district, shared his thoughts on several pressing issues through social media posts dated February 3, 2025. Johnson, who has been in office since replacing Cynthia McKinney in 2007, addressed topics ranging from Black History Month to economic policies and data privacy concerns.

In a post commemorating Black History Month, Rep. Hank Johnson emphasized the importance of recognizing Black history as an integral part of American history. He stated: "This month, we commemorate the legacy of Black people & recognize that Black History is American history. Teaching it is teaching America’s history. Acknowledging it means telling the whole truth. Let us never forget that." This tweet was posted on February 3, 2025.

Later that day, Johnson criticized former President Donald Trump's economic strategies in another tweet: "Instead of going after billionaires & big corporations to lower costs, Trump is imposing tariffs on our neighboring allies while going soft on China—driving up prices on gas, groceries, and housing, killing jobs, and straining supply chains. American workers will pay the price." This statement reflects his concerns about tariffs affecting domestic prices and employment.

On the same day, Johnson expressed apprehension regarding data privacy issues involving Social Security numbers: "An unelected, unappointed billionaire with special interests is rampaging through millions of Americans' Social Security numbers and personal information—and we're supposed to think this is fine?" His remarks highlight worries over private access to sensitive personal information without public accountability.
