DeKalb County will close several offices and facilities on Thursday, Jan. 23, due to expected inclement weather. The closures include senior centers, libraries, recreation centers, the Sanitation Division's customer service desk, and the Planning Department's One Stop Shop.

Public safety personnel and other county employees essential for maintaining critical operations during the weather event are advised to contact their supervisors for further instructions. Employees not required on-site will work remotely.

Residents seeking updates on road closures or other relevant information can visit www.dekalbcountyga.gov. The county encourages residents to enroll in its high-speed emergency notification system, CodeRED, which delivers urgent messages through voice, email, and text during emergencies.

To register for CodeRED alerts, residents should go to www.dekalbcountyga.gov and select the CodeRed icon at the top of the page. During this period of severe weather conditions, residents are urged to use 911 strictly for life-threatening emergencies. Non-emergency issues can be reported by calling 404-294-2911.
