DeKalb County is set to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its annual King Day Celebration, marking the 41st year of this tradition. The event will take place on Friday, January 31 at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

This year's program is titled “Mission: Possible; Protecting Freedom, Justice, and Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence 365.” It will commence at 11:30 a.m. and is open to all members of the public without charge.

Dr. Jamal Bryant, pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, will deliver the King Day charge during the celebration.

The tribute continues DeKalb's long-standing commitment to celebrating Dr. King's legacy through an employee-planned event.
